Location
The apartment is conveniently placed a few minutes from the Western Ferries terminal or a 10 minute drive from Dunoon Pier if travelling on a Calmac Ferry. By public transport The nearest city is Glasgow. From here you can travel by bus or by train to Gourock on the south bank of the Clyde. Calmac (Gourock Ferry Terminal) and Western Ferries (McInroy’s Point) both serve the Dunoon area and both operators have passenger facilities. By car Follow the M8/A8/A770 from Glasgow via Greenock to Gourock where you can catch either of the ferries to Dunoon. The journey from Glasgow should take just over an hour, 20 minutes of which is the ferry ride. We can provide discounted Western Ferries tickets if required. You can also drive via the A82, a very picturesque route past Loch Lomond, Loch Long, Loch Fyne, Loch Eck and the Holy Loch. This will add approximately 90 minutes to the journey and, in our opinion, the quickest route is to use the Erskine Bridge from the M8 to get to the A82. |
